A Text link, web link, or "hyperlink" is a word or a group of words that are connected or linked to another web page, image, or outside web source. Activating a "hyperlink" can be done by clicking on a highlighted or underlined word, or clicking an icon, graphic, or image on the screen.
Scanning for broken links is a required maintenance service because hyperlinks can change at any moment without you ever knowing. Broken links leave a bad taste in the mouths of search engines as well as potential customers.
Hyperlinks can be implemented on your Web Property in 2 ways:
We will add Hyperlinks to a web page during the initial Virtual Property setup, and after performing update maintenance tasks as applicable. These links will provide Site visitors with additional references to support the actual words/images/icons/graphics. Hyperlinks may need updating/added/removed when new content is being implemented or changed.
Secondly, You may request to turn certain links into "hyperlinks". If you want certain words, phrases, images/graphics, or icons to be active and clickable on your Virtual Property, a maintenance Ticket must be submitted.
All Virtual Web Properties include monthly scanning to check for broken links. Check you links more than once a month during your rental or lease by requesting to check them again for a small fee.
