Updating your Virtual Property is a very important step in online maintenance. Although you are renting/leasing your online space from us, you have the ability and responsibility to request updates and troubleshooting issues.
1. ☂ Can I or someone I hire to perform updates on my Virtual Rental Property?
No. Because you do not have access to the cPanel that operates your Virtual Rental, you have no way of performing your own updates. The only exception is Web Property Owners because they own their web files, they also have access to their cPanel for total control over web files.
2. ☂ How do I update my Virtual Property if I can't do it?
All Virtual Web Property Rentals include a basic web maintenance plan (called Mini WIP) to allow the opportunity for Virtual Tenants to make small, minor changes such as dates and images.
If you need more updates than allowed in the basic plan, you may upgrade to a plan that will cover your needs.
3. ☂ How does WIP work?
Web Insurance Plans or "WIP" work just like other insurance plans such as for a car or house insurance plan. This insurance protects the Virtual Property by offering coverage for web maintenance, troubleshooting, technical support, and more.
Web Insurance Plans are only available to GriotSites Web Property Owners, and Virtual Web Renter and Leaser. This means that we only offer coverage to Web Properties developed by our GriotSites team.
4. ☂ Am I required to sign up for a Maintenance Plan?
Web Insurance Plan (WIP) is a required service to update your Virtual Rental Property. You do not need to sign up for this service because it is included in all Virtual Web Rentals.
You are required to sign up for WIP if you are wanting more coverage than included in Basic WIP Services, you may submit a ticket request to upgrade your plan.
5. ☂ What exactly is WIP?
WIP is a web maintenance service made available to Web Property Owners of GriotSites who may not have the time to maintain their site property or knowledge in HTML or PHP coding that is needed to make desired updates or changes. All Web Property Owners of GriotSites can submit a ticket requesting updates, but a service fee is required for each task performed.
